General elections for each office are held every four years. Rural municipalities hold an election for selected divisions every two years; however, each council member holds office for a four-year term. Upcoming municipal election dates are Wednesday, November 13, 2024 for odd-numbered Councillor Divisions 1, 3 & 5 , as well as the Reeve position.
IMPORTANT ELECTION DATES
| September 9, 2024 | Nominations open at 7:30 a.m. |
| October 9, 2024 | Nominations close at 4:00 p.m. |
| October 10, 2024 | Final date for withdrawal of candidates until 4:00 p.m. |
| November 5, 2024 | Day of Advance Poll, from 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. |
| November 13, 2024 | Election Day, from 9:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. |
| November 20, 2024 | All election signs and posters are to be removed |
